Big-dog, how long are the underground stations of line 16?
Long enough for 6 car A size trains. personally I think the capacity is really good for a suburban line.

Is it possible to have exact train denomination ? It appears all train types are of the format ACxx. The number of trains / cars per type would be ideal.
AC for AC motor drive. Line 1 used to have some DC series trains so they where designated by DCxx. The xx is rolling stock order contract numbers started with AC01 to AC18 for line 13

This is happening on a couple of stations along Line 2. I heard they are replacing the glass door with half-height doors due to air flow issue. It might be design issue since Line 2 is an old system.

Wow, i like half-height doors much more! The glas door are making the stations narrower and claustrophobic.

I think they are replacing the half height barriers (there was no doors to begin with) with full height PSDs.

I don't remember how it was before but I was at Lujiazui Station yesterday and it's installed half height doors already.

Per metrofans Line 2 is not like other lines in that Line 2 doesn't have air shaft when it's built so it has to use tunnel and stations to ventilate. That's the reason full height sreen doors couldn't be installed on Line 2 stations.

Big-dog, in 2006 there was nothing at Lujiazui. since my second trip to China (dec 2011 - jan 2012) there were already half height barriers.

Any photos of those half height barriers in 2012? The half height glass doors I saw yesterday looked new.

Very nice. The half height platform doors are more economical and practical. Just static. Although it ay still a safety issue without the automatic doors.

This exists in Shanghai metro, too, but not at Lujiazui.
