Are they all run by the same company?

How were they financed, govt funding only? Or all different.

Are the authorities ok with most of the lines not connecting?

T1, T2, T3a, T3b, T5, T6, T7 and T8 are operated by the RATP;
T4 is operated by the SNCF.

Tram line are financed with regional, departemental, municipal and transit company funds.
Authorities are indeed ok because projects are approved by them.

Paris LRT Line T1 extension approved
Written by Keith Barrow, Monday, February 24, 2014

THE municipal governments of Seine-Saint Denis and Val-de-Marne signed the declaration of public utility on February 17 for the 7.7km eastern extension of Paris light rail Line T1 to Val-de-Fontenay.

The €484m extension will take trams from the existing terminus at Noisy-le-Sec RER station to Romainville, Montreuil, and Rosny-sous-Bois before terminating at an interchange with RER Line A at Val-de-Fontenay.

Paris Transport Authority (RATP) will procure 15 additional low-floor LRVs to provide the additional capacity required for the 16-station extension, which is due to be completed in 2017.

The extension is expected to carry 50,300 passengers per day and services will operate at four-minute intervals during peak periods and every six minutes at other times.

T2

Suresnes-Longchamp at nightfall, last wednesday.

Like several stations of this line, it's a former railway station. Sorry, i didn't have time to take other pics before my tram came... but at least I like this picture . It was taken from the bus stop (line 244).

T3A

Last thursday, a tram had a problem and then was unable to leave the station Jean Moulin ; all passengers had to step out.

Other trams arrived ; a queue quickly began to grow...

Then they had to go backwards - that means, on the left track - until they reached the first switch...

Don't know how long the service was interrupted.

Paris promises free public transport if high pollution continues
Thursday 13 March 2014

Authorities in the Paris region say they will make public transport free if they have to bring in emergency restrictions on traffic because of high pollution levels caused by unseasonably warm weather.

Nearly a third of France's 22 regions were on maximum pollution alert on Thursday for third day running.

A lack of wind, cold nights and warm days have increased dangerously small particles from traffic and heating systems in the air in areas including the Ile de France around Paris, northern and eastern France, Brittany, the Loire and Burgundy.

Paris is basking in unseasonable sunshine but that has meant a dangerous dose of particles that pushed air pollution to levels above those in other northern European capitals this week.

To encourage the use of public transport, the city council announced that green transport, such as its Velib bike-share and the Autolib electric car fleet, would be free on Thursday, as would residential parking.

And the Socialist chairman of the Ile de France regional council, Jean-Paul Huchon, said it was preparing drastic restrictions on the use of highly polluting vehicles and is already tightening speed limits and banning heavy goods vehicles from the city.

If the tough measures come into effect, the region is ready to make travel on public transport free while they are in operation, he said.

The French capital is experiencing unseasonably warm weather in March, with weather forecasters saying Paris would enjoy sunny skies and an average temperature of 19°C.

Last year in March, snow covered the country and temperatures were below zero in Paris (-1°C) on 12 March 2013.

The Heuliez GX 427 Hybrid are replacing the old Irisbus Agora L on line 91.

One Heuliez GX 427 Hybrid was in test since 2012 on this line.

I would love to see a T8 construction update some time if anybody is likely to be in the area.

Nice video.
Looks like it going through some nice neighborhood also.
The design of the tram doesn't sit right for me, though.

This is because the front of T2 rolling stocks has been modified when the line was extended to Porte de Versailles in 2009.

Tram Express Nord Tangentielle Nord
Construction work in Epinay sur Seine
Now that this line will be called with the name tram, I put it in this thread.

For people who are not aware about this project, Tangentielle Nord, now called Tram Express Nord is the construction of a light rail line using Tram-Train rolling stock along the northern part of the Grande Ceinture (big belt) railway line closed to passengers since 1930 and now used for freight train.

A new bridge is under in construction

Epinay-sur-Seine station
The station will provide a transfer between the RER C, the Tram Express Nord and the T7.

We can see the new platforms

View from the RER C platforms

Google Earth 3D view of the station.
The view is older than my pictures but recent enough to see some construction works.
The view is centered on the Grand Ceinture line.
You can also see the construction of the T8, there is approx 150m between the T8 platforms and Tram Express Nord and RER C stations.
