The size is too big to really see anything from the back row of the upper tier.

Have you been to the Azteca? I've watched a football match at 100,000 seater that had an athletics track and it was easy to see everything. Judging things based on an image is pointless, its always markedly different in person.

esta bien el estadio, pero como que ya le falta una remodeladita al techo.. se ve muy viejo..si este estadio tuviera algo asi como el omnilife o no se algo moderno se veria de poca ma...

Love this real football stadium. Strange thing is, it doesn´t look as big as Camp Nou, but it´s a lot bigger.
Love this stadium and like alot more of Mexican stadiums! Keep it coming.

Maybe because of there are no real seats at the 2nd tier. Just benches.

BTW it loks like the 2nd tier has got 48 rows (12 + 5 + 8 + 13 + 10) and the 1st tier 31 rows (13 + 14 + 4)

Maybe because Nou Camp has 3 tiers, imagine if Azteca had the second tier, split in two?? Will look massive (already does). I have had the chance to visit both stadiums and I think they are both the "same size", currently Nou Camp holds 98,000 fans vs 104-105,000 in Azteca but with seats only in the lower bowl, boxes and some small parts of the upper tier. So the if they put seats in the entire second tier capacity could drop to the 95-100,00 range, just like Nou Camp.
The problem is that the rows in the upper tier are very narrow and would be hard to install seats without obstructing the circulation.

Sad thing is that no renovations have been announced, hopefully the new stadium in Monterrey plus the Omnilife stadium in Guadalajara, will put in perspective how outdated Estadio Azteca is from the true world class venues.
