This picture was quite cool. Makes you realize how damn big this arena is.

The stadium is officially becoming an all seater. They are adding seats to the bleacher section. A nice little improvement but the capacity will probably go down now.

I still think the stadium needs a massive overhaul considering that the owner, Televisa, is a wealthy media conglomerate.

I agree, it feels as if it has been a lifetime since they last did something to the place. I've always had the idea that Televisa just uses it as a business and that's all they care about. it's had great grass conditions and amazing lighting while the stadium itself deteriorates.

anyway, so excited for the new seats. Can't wait to finally see them.

I remember someone telling me this place was better than cowboys stadium. I haven't been to either but this place has an awful lot of nose-bleeds. I don't like how the upper deck is bigger than the lower bowl. and to sit on concrete . no thanks .
mexicans certainly love cowboys stadium

Yes for now, but going away in the next couple of months, when Azteca Stadium will get individual seats in all the stadium. Estimating the new capacity to 102-103,000. They should be in place for the World Cup qualifiers, first the will add 20,000 individual seats in the upper tier sidelines by february 2nd, then 30,000 more seats before the March 26 match.

All the stadium will now be assigned seats. so no more need of wired stands.

That's just wrong lol. If they would've done all blue, the outcome would've been much better.
