Great Pix AltinD!! Now we have a better understanding of where the building will be located. If we can have several different angle shots to see would be even better.

If you look very closely at the center of the fan. That little bullet shaped thing held in the middle. You actually see a river surrounding an island inside of it. My theory is, is that that's not really a fan sitting at the top of a tower, that's actually an observation deck held by what seems to be propeller like things. It seems that Tameer wants to make it seem like your observation deck is in mid air. It's just a theory though, don't take my word for it.

That is correct. More specifically, the observatory is a restaurant. But you are right; the "fan" is not really a fan just struts to hold up the restaurant.

It *IS* a restaurant with some garden walkways. When you first see the building, it looks like a giant FAN that can rotate. It first I thought the same since Dubai is going for "GREEN" building and self energy control. But for better or for worse, it is all static and the middle piece is a restaurant. It may take some time to get use to it but the more you look at it the more you like it this way.

In this pic it is defintely an obs deck, but where's the river? What you may have thought was water looks to be a structural ring to help support the glass roof...

Its actually good idea for swimming pool to have couple of trees nearby.

Did anyone mention how to get into that observation capsule in the middle of the circle? It's sort of like top 2 bridge linking capsule and the circle has stairs inside it or a slide... but probably escalator as I imagine.

This could be the answer...Or...It's maybe just an elevator in that vertical "wing" of that "turbine"...

i imagine its an elevator in the vertical wing, and an escalator on the two sides.

Yeah, that will be the best...It will be too long trip for some people in upper floors if they want to reach in observation deck...

Yay I was right! I think to get into that sky restaurant you go through those struts that look like propeller blades. Just another thought, but to be honest I think that is the only way you can actually get inside of the restaurant.

The low-rise Hotel that currently sits on the site, has been completely emptied so demolishing should start soon. The Hotel closed 2 - 3 months ago

Soil testing on site was conducted in September (maybe is still on-going)
