There are 5 universities in Lagos:

1. University of Lagos
2. National Open University of Nigeria, Lagos
3. Lagos State University Ojo, Lagos.
4. Pan African University (Lagos Business School)

but there are schools that award diplomas equivalent to a BA/BSc that
are higher institutions in Lagos and not necessarily universities. E.g. Yaba
College of Technology, Federal College of Education, Lagos State Polytechnic,
Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education and so on.

There are also other universities that are not geographically located in lagos
but are in close proximity e.g. Covenant University, Ota; Bells University of Technology, Ota;
etc.
