Off the top of my head:

Two Minute Warning - Coliseum, LA
The Replacements - M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore

Also, in my trivia section:

In an episode of Porridge, an inmate who escapes follows instructions to find the buried proceeds of his earlier robbery. The spot is under the centre circle at Elland Road, Leeds. The episode ends with the gag that just as he finds the box and unearths it late one night, the floodlights are switched on and he's re-arrested.

Wonderful postcard this one of Pittsburgh's ballpark.

I think 4 months it's a record-time, in spite of the building's methods of the 1909. Nowadays, built a stadium takes at least 2 or 3 years.

What's up? It's Christmas time: there are holidays to see stadiums in the movies

So you can see the old version of Olympia Stadion in Berlin in The Quiller Memorandum (UK - 1966)

Saturday Morning Challenge: Which Stadium Featured on the Opening Titles of Mork & Mindy?

(Showing my age, here!)

I guess I must have always had an interest in stadiums from a young age because I always remember the scene in the titles of 'Mork & Mindy' in the stadium, where Mork (Robin Williams) is stood on the crossbar of the goal.

Having found it on YouTube, it shows less of the stands than I remember, so I'm going to open this question to the forum: Do you know which stadium it is? Can you attempt a guess from the little visual information shown?

According to wikipedia, the series was set in Boulder, Colorado, but given that it was probably filmed in or around Hollywood, perhaps a venue in California is likely.

Anyone prepared to hazard a guess?

Stadiums in Film: Stadium Locations in Movies and TV

I'm sure there was a thread about this once but I've looked and can't find it.

Anyway, I've just watched 28 Weeks Later and the climax involves a rendezvous at "Wembley Stadium".

Anyway, when it gets to that point, the shape and layout of the tiers clearly show that the location was the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff.

I found this gif on the web to show how they took a picture of a pristine Millennium Stadium and photoshopped it up to match the colours and seat pattern of Wembley - complete with a pitch that looks like it's been neglected for - well 28 weeks.

Over to you, film/stadium afficionados!

i know that baseball movies never seem to want to use the right stadiums. For example, the movie Angels in the Outfield used the Oakland Coliseum for the action but uses Anaheim Stadium in exterior shots. This happens in a ton of movies but this came to my mind first.

There's a little English film called "Purely Belter" that features both St James' Park and The Sunderland Stadium of Light.

Lots of stadiums, including, St James' Park, used in "Goal!", obviously.

Telstra Dome used in an awful Nic Cage movie the title of which escapes me (did a big bike jump in it). Bad. Nice stadium though - I can see it from my window right now.

Major League, featuring the Cleveland Indians, is supposed to be at the Old Cleveland Municipal Stadium.

But it was mostly filmed at Milwaukee County Stadium.

In the movie "The Rock" a missile with a chemical warhead flies over Candlestick in SF.

The Waterboy had the final "Bourbon Bowl" filmed at the Citrus Bowl.

However the marqee is clearly Candlestick in SF.

In Godzilla, Godzilla lays eggs in Madison Square Garden.

I think they blew up this scale model.

And the greatest sports movie of all time, Hoosiers, was filmed at Hinkle Fieldhouse.

Rudy, a shitty movie , was correctly filmed at Notre Dame Stadium.

And dont forget Major League 2, which was filmed at Camden Yards

In The Rock, they say the missle is headed towards Oakland and the radar shows the same thing, even though they used Candlestick instead of the Oakland Coliseum.

Just some fun facts
