I thought that too... it must be Copacabana or Ipanema in Rio, there are a lot of incredible expensive apartments over there

Copacabana isn't even one of the wealthiest in Rio. (but is probably the most famous)

In Rio, we have Ipanema, Leblon, Lagoa and perhaps Barra da Tijuca among the wealthiest here.

However, another cities in Brazil have wealthy neighborhoods like in Rio, such as Belo Horizonte and São Paulo.

There are also some places intended for summer/winter vacation which could figure in that list.

Leblon is considered the most expensive.

Leblon - Rio de Janeiro

Leblon is the most expensive square meters of Latin America.

Of course, you live in a rich country.

The concept of wealthy neighborhood in the US is diferent from Latin America.

That's what I thought! Where are the mansions and clasic style villas!? Although these Mexican neighbourhoods look very neat and nice!

I don't think so. We are deprived here of many things like healthcare. There are plenty of poor folk here, especially in the South and Appalachia. We have more variety of class. We have an incompetent government and lazy uneducated citizens that only know one language.

Houston not so rich

Houston rich

The richest parts of South America that I've seen are in Buenos Aires, Montevideo and Bogota.
