Maybe I should not have used the word "sucks" for that I apologise. As far as Skydome as not a sight to behold and really inspiring I think is pretty fair. It does have its good points though and is better then most of what came before it.

As far as stadiums what matters more then looks? I agree it is not all that is important but is it not very important when judging a stadium?

MSG may not look very special, but it is known to many as the World's Most Famous Arena as well as having a prestigous location.

Oita Stadium is the only stadium in the world today that fits 400m IAAF approved 8-lane tracks with roof closed.

Why are these the top? Maybe modern but not the top.. Saltlake stadium in India for exanple has a capacity of 120,000 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salt_Lake_Stadium)
Most of the above barely crack over 50,000. I think stadiums shouldnt be ranked based on just Gadjets Its by capacity and importance... Id proablly wan to see Lords Londen listed also..

Also we have the Eden gardens in the Same city with a capacity of 118,000

....
Eden Gardens

Salt ;ake stadium

Not too impressive but still very significant

Well It has to be Anfield because of its history even if it was only the kop stand that was standing it would still be the most famous stadium in the world.

It really is a true shrine but you'd have to pick up the history book to no what i mean. Watch the Kop sing you'll never walk alone its something. Look at the kop after hillsborough its a shrine to football and the city of Liverpool the best atmosphere you'll experience!

In terms of appearance

1. colosseum
2. Anfield
3. Nou Camp
4. Ibrox
5. Hampden (old one)
6. Reebok Stadium
7. Old Trafford (OUCH!!! What am i saying)
8. Craven Cottage
9. New Wemberly
10. Highbury

Variety is the spice of life

Personaly I think that Ashburton Grove will be up there in club football;

-It's size is perfect (60,000) for europe, but infact creates ú90 million a season opposed to Manchester United's ú65 million due to its large additional corporate facilities>
That is infact when old trafford will have a 76,000 capacity- Man United's Old trafford would have to have a 100,000 capacity before it could create similar revenue; taking into account the proportion of corporate seats to joe blogg seats and whether malcolm glazer will increase ticket prices or Man Uniteds success changes drastically for good or bad.

Its design is elegant;- the roof slopes down to trap any noise made by the crowd, (Lets hope the herd ultras return and make noise over the silence of the plastics!! LOL) The biggest and largest ring of the stadium is the top one and curves up at the sides of the bowl giving a more intimidating effect ( the upper ring holds 28,000 ) - this design makes oppostion players feel enlosed in hatred otherwise known as a cauldren effet.
