I look at WHL and think all we need to do is build something like the West stand at Stamford Bridge to replace the West stand and East stands then we have an increase of capacity and in excutive boxes money back in a few years pay the loans back and we would be a raking it in. These photos are not I repeat NOT the plans for redevelopment of WHL they were just an idea of Tottenham could do.

Hilarious, absolute nonsense. Have any of you actually been to a Liverpool game? It so easy to get a ticket and games rarely sell out. Spurs average 60000? hahahaha, have you visited planet earth? In a few years Arsenal will be down to a 50000-55000 average. Here is the list of highest possible averages by a non-fanboy - Man Utd - 80-90,000 Liverpool - 50-60000 Arsenal - 50-60000 Newcastle - 55-60000 Spurs - 40-45000 Chelsea - 45-50000 Seriously, Spurs fans are the best at these 'fanboy' posts. You've got to feel kind of sorry for them, they actually believe the rubbish they post!! I can just imagine them at home thinking to themselves 'Spurs, what a great massive club we are', whilst everybody else watches the big English/European teams on TV and never give Spurs a second thought! |

Well Liverpool wont even be finishing above United at this rate. They had the chance to leap frog us and guess what they lost at Chelsea and now they are losing at Charlton 2:0. If they lose this game which it looks like will happen and win the other game in hand they will still be 3 points behind United. Its now not what Liverpool do its want United do. They have Wigan at the weekend and then Arsenal mid week they could easily lose both those games. Chelsea have won the league theres no catching them.

Theres only 39,000 at Chelsea tonight. United get more than that when they play a none league team.

It would be 50000 at the absolute max, but they would have to start winning things to get that. The main reason Arsenal are building a 60000 stadium is because of their success in the last 10 years. If Arsenal had performed like Spurs in the last 10 years, then they would not have built a new stadium. As Spurs will never win the league in the next 3500 years, they will never get 50000. |

i would say their are 4 clubs that can fill a 60,000 seat stadium. you forget that newcastle already have a 52k stadium and they sell 99.7% of their seats on average. thats the highest percentage in the league, an extra 8000 seats shouldn't be much of a problem
I agree, Newcastle - even though they just knocked us out of the FA Cup - could easily fill a 60,000 stadium. Geordieland is very proud of their city. |

in 85, 87 and 90 Tottenham finished third and also won the F.A cup in 91 so I would'nt say 20 it is 15 years that it hasn't been good. |

These 'studies' mean nothing and are normally absolute bollocks. They do not have 1 million supporters, they may have a lot of people who say Spurs are their favourite team, but that is not a proper supporter. If that's the case, then Real Madrid must have about a billion 'supporters'. Spurs are a club who never win anything, never play in the Champions League and play in a small stadium. They are only big in the minds of Spurs fans. In Scotland, nobody ever talks about Spurs, most fans up here could only name two Spurs players (Keane and Davids). Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are the clubs talked about with Man United and Chelsea getting about 95% of the coverage of English football in Scotland. Spurs are classed as just another run-of-the-mill English club, in the same way Charlton, Man City etc are looked at. |

Scotland is a lot different to England I've been talking to ots of people and they have been impressed by Spurs and like their transfer policy of buy young English players. The system has so far worked as we're 4th at the meoment and playing good football call us a run of the mill all you want but when was the last time you were in the top 15 in the world's richest club list? Oooooooooooooooooooooooooh yeah I foregot NEVER! like to see Rangers have a £70m turnover in fact when was he last time Rangers were in the top 20? With £800000 TV money a year and none of the spin offs that TV money and TV coverage generates, it's pretty hard to make the rich list. What do Spurs get? £20 million a year? We both know that Rangers in terms of support are far far bigger than Spurs. Rangers sold 650000 strips in Scotland alone. The only team that sold more in the UK was Man United. Put Rangers or Celtic in the English league and we would need to build 100000 stadiums, not 50000 stadiums. We are very close to the top 20 rich list and used to be in it all the time. The fact that a team from a country with 5 million people can get in or near this list is remarkable!!
What has Rangers got to do with this anyway? Scotland has 5 million people, England has 50 million people!!! Greater London alone has almost three times the population of the whole of Scotland. It's like comparing Denmark to Germany!! Spurs have never played in the Champions League and never win trophies. Face it - Spurs are crap! If Spurs have a huge fanbase, it means you are even more crap than I thought. If I were you, I would be trying to say you are a small club and play down the number of fans you have, as if you are a big club, then you are unbelievably crap!! If you have a million supporters and are one of the biggest English clubs, then why do you never win any domestic trophies or qualify for the Champions League? Either you are not a big club, or you are a big club that happens to also be a crap club!! It's your choice? Last edited by bubomb; February 9th, 2006 at 01:12 AM. |
