Trondheim to Oslo | Nature, modernity and history in one big mix!

>> Trondheim to Oslo
Nature, modernity and history in one big mix!

Taken a few photos from Trondheim lately, and did a short trip down to Oslo through the mountains. This is a 8 hour ride by car on Norwegian roads but you will be passing my plenty of smaller exiting places on the way south. You also have to cross a few mountain-passes which is a beautiful nature-experience and popular to tourists. Hope you enjoy the show from a less known part of the Western World!

Starting in Trondheim, the third largest city in Norway with a population just above 160 000.

Biking-elevator.

The oldest bridge in Trondheim.

Been over 1000 years, but he still watches his city!

Modern students apartments built uppon rooftopps of older building.

And not a day without Nidarosdomen Cathedral, the largest and oldest in Norway.

Heimdal, Trondheims little CBD which was built in the 80s.

Going south and passing by different weather, this is a small inland town called Tynset.

Wooden arch-bridge enterting the town of Tynset.

Walkbridge in Os, just south of Rĝros.

Leonardo Da Vinci bridge south of Oslo.

Then, up on Valdresflya, view towards Jotunheimen.

And a few photos from our capital and largest city, Oslo.

The newly completed Oslo Opera House.

Grey and dead sunday...

Hope it was enjoyable, even though its not New York, Chicago or Hong Kong!

I have always seen Olso as the ugliest of all scandinavian capitals. Trondheim is on the other side really beautiful....

Thanks for the replies everyone!

The city can be judged different by anywho, but i agree that Copenhagen is a more beautiful city. But it lack in contrasts as a city in architecture and so on, since Oslo is much more messier that way.

And Oslo's development projects is by far more exiting than Copenhagen and Stockholm combined, since the large development zones is at the entire harbour in downtown.
