My big huge Eurorail trip... 16 days... 11 cities... 9 countries... :D

So, for the first time in my life, i've been on a REAL adventure. A REAL experience that i know i'll remember the rest of my life! A stressful, relaxing, fun, tiring, expensive, hard and sometimes easy, trip... I travelled with my gal. We got to see/experience 11 cities in 9 different countries.. All in all in 16 days. (Just came home this sunday).
All in all it has just been an AMAZING trip, though i wish we did have more time to see each city. No place is able to be seen in only half a day to 1 day...
We spent on average 2 days in each city.
We started (of course) in Copenhagen, went to Amsterdam, then Brussells, Luxembourg, Paris, Barcelona, Salou (east-Spain), Zurich, Salzburg, Vienna, Prague, Berlin, then home to Copenhagen again.
I've taked approx. 1600 pictures on the entire trip... i managed to delete 600 cuz they were either boring or i had similar shots already...

I took my cheap small digicam with me. I didn't feel like carrying around my big ass bulky E1 that weighs half as much as myself... And, my purpouse was NOT to make beautiful pictures, but to just take a snap shot of whatever i saw. I have NOT editted any of the pictures except for maybe a few lighting adjustments...

So.. like mentioned these are very different than my normal photos.. but.. i don't care.. it was more important to see the cities rather than to take good photos.

So... here are a few photos from each place. Like mentioned, i have over 1000 photos... but im only gonna post a few from each city here... cuz im too lazy to make a thread for each city.

Amsterdam:

Brussells:

Luxembourg:

Paris:

Salou:
Meeting up with my parents

Barcelona:

Zurich:

Salzburg and other surrounding towns:

Vienna:

Prague:

Berlin:
okay... we never actually got to see Berlin... we only drove through it by train and spent the night in a hostel close to the train station, so other than the central station and the hostel we never really got to see Berlin (unfortunately)...

On our way back to Denmark. Small little warm sunny relaxing Denmark

That's it!

Cheers!

Please post self taken photos in the URBAN SHOWCASE section, not Cityscapes. Thank you.

Europeans are the luckiest people alive. Maybe in 500 years America will be something like Europe...or not. I am so mad at my Opa for moving my dad and his sister here in the 1950's from Germany.

Wouldn't that mean your dad and mom would not have met or at least done their thing together at the right time for the right combination of his sperm and her ovum to produce you??? Plus, things were rough in Germany in the 50s. Anyway, if you have a German parent can't you easily get German citizenship?

That looks like an awesome trip, and some awesome weather as well! Too bad you didn't get to see Berlin, pretty nice city I'd say.

So I'm looking forward to more detailed threads eh!

Great pics...I did something very similar a few years ago. Went to Europe with my now-exgirlfriend on a road trip...but we took things more calmly. It took us some 6 weeks so we could spend some 5-7 days at each city.

Nice photos... years ago I wanted to do such experience, but I changed my mind after an exhausting bus trip across the Iberian PenÝnsula... I think i'll fly somewhere and explore that place better.
I've been to Amsterdam and it looks great, I loved the Netherlands.
You two look great (especially her ).
