First of all, you're welcome.
Second, I don't understand why they didn't make any official homepage of this project for the Romanian side, as it is for the Bulgarian side.
Third: ok, let's post them, using almost the same text as in the Romanian section of SCC:

Now the latest updates (October 29th) of the construction works for Vidin - Calafat bridge. A large package of photos split in two parts can be downloaded from here: part 1 and part 2. I apologize for using that crappy Rapidshare.
Now about the works: first, I must tell you they are really working on the site, both Bulgarians and Romanians, which is very good. I know, it's a very different image on the Romanian bank compared with the Bulgarian bank (they are already concreting piles in the middle of Danube), but it is also a very different image on the Romanian bank today, compared with the same site just two months ago.

So let's see:

It is planned to have motorway connection, but at least on the romanian side, construction will start after 2015. But even if it does not have motorway connection, national roads there are rehabilitated and can absorb the traffic until motorway is built.
