KingoftheHill's Los Angeles-a-day thread

More like..every other day, but nonetheless here is the inaugural picture

image hosted on flickr

Koreatown near Olympic and Crenshaw.

The whole canyon effect going on in LA's Koreatown, of which is the largest Koreatown in the world and hosts the world's largest Korean population outside of Koreatown.

While the area is unsurprisingly gritty, it is currently amidst a renaissance, anchored by new projects such as the Solair condos (with the nexus being the Wilshire and Western subway station) and many renovations of art deco apartments (loft conversions are popular, but not as popular as Downtown or Hollywood) made possible by fluid Korean investment.

P.S: If you came in here looking for skylines and ritzy palm tree lined avenues, this is not the place for you--I show the real LA, no deceptive angles or anything.

Is that North Koreatown or South Koreatown?

To my knowledge, there is no "North Ktwon" or "South Ktown", rather just one big Ktown.

However the location of that picture is the Southernmost fringes of Ktown, is that what you meant ?
