ambilis talaga ng g-mall expansion, few weeks lang 25% tapos na ang basement flooring. sa pics yang area na mayroong backhoe kasama pa yan sa expansion. matagal na pala naka pile drive ang area na may flooring na so buhos na lang agad. i've interviewed one construction supervisor sabi nya, ayala talaga ang reason ng g-mall honchos why nag renovate at nagexpand sila. kung di man daw nila matapatan ang class ng ayala, dadaanin na lang daw nila sa palakihan. hahaha. in fairness, gumaganda na ang g-mall.

g-mall davao embarks a 1 billion expansion/renovation according to the on site engineer that i've talked with. to give ayala/sm/robinsons a good fight for supremacy sabi daw ng may ari.
the 7 storey sta. ana wing expansion of the mall... mabilis ang construction going 6th level na.  the expansion is huge, you can not capture the whole area in one frame.  here you can see the existing g-mall building at the right side, a massive 6 level mall. the new wing will connect to that mall, seen here at 5th floor already.  once finished, g-mall will be the biggest standing mall in davao at around 190,000 sqm GFA. the interior renovation of the mall... sabi nga ng karamihan, jologs daw ang ambience ng g-mall, but i dunno kung masasabi pa yan once matapos na ang renovation. heto mga unfinished na patikim sa interior. parang sa gabi mostly ginagawa ang interior works pero meron ding mga makikitang workers during daytime.     the department store side w/c in the future will connect to the new sta. ana wing  the spazzio side of g-mall...  kudos to G-MALL for fighting it out with the giants. walang press release about it, no hype, just plain, real INVESTMENT!

Magkatabi lang ang G-Mall at Central Park Hotel both near to Holy Cross of Davao College. Dense na ang lugar na to and fully occupied na ang whole street going to HCDC when these two giant constructions will be completed.
I think these two will trigger more projects within the area...... dadami kasi ang traffic ng mga tao. Ganda siguro ng lugar na to pagtapos na ang projects. |

yeahand the 3rd Chinese Arch will be cointructed there, grabe ang Gaisano 1 billion palaang gastus niyan ang Robinsons mga 400 to 500 million lang pero ang ingay
