I've never been a fan of this one to be honest. It is only 11 years old but already looks dated (at least, it does to me). It also looks much smaller than it actually is.

I agree, it looks like it was built 30 years ago. The concrete structure and roof itself don't look bad imo, but I don't like the bowl and the blue glass and white metal on the facade.

i dont like the wavy roof over the main stand, it looks a bit exagerated. it would look better if it was like on the other side

The Regal Shanghai East Asia Hotel is located in the west side of the stadium. This would make Shanghai the fourth stadium to contain a hotel (the others are the Workers Stadium, the Beijing National Stadium (if that hotel is ever built), and the Guangzhou Olympic Stadium.

Anyone here think Shanghai should have built a larger-capacity stadium or will this one be fine for the city?
