Is there a figure on how much this project will cost? Also, I learned in the Poish forum that there is more then one designer (companies) competing, if so why is this the only design we keep on seeing? I truely hope to God this isn't the last design, I don't like it one bit.

Design is interesting, Im not head over heels for it but I can live with it, one positive thing is the height, very please to see height.
Why is it so far from the city center.... Lets begin building one big cluster like Frankfurt or London.

If the Tower of European Unity was built, and this new tower was built next to it then it would look good, but by itself looks wired, but I ain't complaining, its big..

Nice stuff all of it, I like the rounded design of the Srebna building.
But Warsaw needs more height, unlike a lot of other Europeans capitals Warsaw can afford to build higher since, as we all know, the goosesteppers levelled the place in WWII and there isn't that much historic architecture to protect by 'not building high'. This main architect dude should get shut up, ergo, fire him. I think Warsaw is rare in it's stance as a European city that can develop a fully modern US style skyline because of this, so go for it guys! It's not like you don't have room! |

"Miasteczko Wilanow":
There has never been an integreated development on such a scale in Europe. Plans cover over 170 hectares of land - a new community for sth like 20.000 of people. The whole thing will cost over 1 BILLION EURO. It's being done by a Polish company - Prokom Investments. For the architecture of the whole investment is responsible Guy C. Perry. Some parts of the development are already under construction. It will take 8-10 years to finish all. The Miasteczko Wilanow plan Centrum (the Center) Nearby there is consruction of a mega church called Holy God's Providence - one of the largest in Europe:

He's Michal Borowski - like Docent said he was living and working is Stockholm - he will probably remain on the job as long as Kaczynski will be president of Warsaw (about 3 years...). But Kaczynski is very controversial and maybe he will be dismissed, who knows...

Living in Canada away from Poland I have noticed that the country is run by old conservative chumps.. I hate it, can't wait tilkl the new generation begin taking over especially in the Sejm.
The new chruch is not that good looking, very communistic looking, hard to explain, just something about it looks really odd. The Wilanow place looks great, but why build 1billion dollar invest in such as small town? I know its near Warsaw, but why not build it in Warsaw itself? |
