It would be very surprising to stop all the constructions for 6 months. Just imagine the loss it would be It would be. And what would all the people working on those sites do during that time?

On top of that the two picture shown previously are in fact only one, they don't show that the constructions stopped at all like some thought.

Yea it would be pretty non-sense to stop a building so close to finishing off, the merchant bank building, this CITIC building and the IFC. Once they are finished (probably 2 more months of exterior work), pudong skyline would look much better without cranes sticking around, and that i think, is what the government want foreigners to see.
