it looks symmetrical enough? I like how the pudong area is filled with modern buildings with some having traditional chinese style like this one.

Lujiazui looks so much better from the north. I also like the absence of the oriental pearl tv tower in that photo, the skyline looks more harmonised without it.

agreed, the last shot captures the lujiazui skyline pretty well. about the OP tower: i can't imagine shanghai's skyline without it anymore, it seems to me this tower has been there for ages lol.

I dont like that angle, the skyline looks too empty, both SWFC and Jinmao are blocked. And i absolutely hate that tower to the left of the Shanghai Bank Tower... Man this is gonna look ugly if these u/c arent finished before expo.

Agree. This side it is all high quality office towers. From the opposite side it also looks very good. The bad angle is when the Oriental Perl is in the middle.

Well, i think all three sides looks great. The one side which i haven't seen looking good is the one which is taken on the Pudong land, ie. at the opposite end of the oriental pearl, if you get what i mean. But yes, its amazing what difference a skyline can have, with and without the iconic structure.

I don't think many tourists for the expo will see it from this side. Most tourist will probably go in the OP tower too so they will see the best view of SWFC and Jin Mao. All new people to Shanghai will be stunned by the skyline anyway, they wont think 'oeh I see a few gaps between those skyscrapers its ugly!' Don't worry

The incomplete buildings are a part of what makes Shanghai's skyline so awesome - no matter how blown your mind is you still have all these reminders that next year it's going to be even more mind-blowing.

Yeah true, the symmetry gives it the traditional look. The cladding is turning out great, i would have liked this building more towards the front of the CBD though, its pure eye candy
