"Campo" is the Venetian square. The only "piazza" is the most important and world famous one, Piazza San Marco.

Now I want to intoduce you Campo Santo Stefano, in my opinion the most beautiful campo.

I went to Venice last week. It's a gem of a city except it can get boring after you've done everything.Still nothing like venice in the world.
And brilliant pictures you captured the scene well.

SAN ZACCARIA AND SAN GIORGIO DEI GRECI

Near St. Mark's Square we can find this beautiful church, San Zaccaria, located in a small campo, with an elegant Renaissance fašade:

The orthodox cathedral, San Giorgio dei Greci (St. George of the Greeks), it is the most ancient and historical church of the orthodoxy in the diaspora. It has been for whole centuries one of the most splendid orthodox churches in the world.

The church was built in the 16th century.

The church of Santa Maria Formosa is one of the most ancient Venetian churches, even if the actual aspect responds to the canons of the first Renaissance:

SANTI GIOVANNI E PAOLO

Many of you in Venice could have noticed this signal:

Next time you have to follow this signal; it will lead you to one of the most beautiful building in Venice.

Campo SS. Giovanni e Paolo, called San Zanip˛lo in Venetian, is one of the most beautiful square in Venice; here you can find three highlights: the gothic church dedicated to St. John and St. Paul, the Scuola Grande di San Marco, and the equestrian monument to Bartolomeo Colleoni, by Andrea Verrocchio.

The square:

The church and the equestrian monument to Bartolomeo Colleoni:

Scuola Grande di San Marco (now the entrance of the hospital):

This bridge is very bad.
I do not understand how the administration was able to order a facility of this kind.
It is a real pain to the eyes see a bridge of its kind in Venice.
One thing kind of went well in any other city, but not at Venice

MURANO AND BURANO

Murano is usually described as an island in the Venetian Lagoon, although like Venice itself it is actually an archipelago of islands linked by bridges. It lies about a mile north of Venice and is famous for its glass making, particularly lampworking. It was once an independent comune, but is now a localitÓ of the comune of Venice.
In 1291, all the glassmakers in Venice were forced to move to Murano due to the risk of fires . In the following century, exports began, and the island became famous, initially for glass beads and mirrors.
Attractions on the island include the Church of Santa Maria e San Donato (known for its twelfth century Byzantine mosaic pavement.
Glass-related attractions include the many glassworks, some Mediaeval and most open to the public, and the Glass Museum.
