Redanilho, Hagia Sofia is not a mosque, it's a museum and as the name suggests it was a church originally and then converted to a mosque later. You might as well show the Mesquita in Cordoba or Giralda in Seville if you mean to include former mosques of Europe.

Anyway, the Schwetzinger Mosque in Germany is quite incredible, eclectic, with Veneto-renaissance influences. It also reminds me of Karlskirche in Vienna!!

Interesting to see that all the European mosques posted here are in the Turkish style. In France the mosques are unsurprisingly in the North African style.

Central mosque in Paris, one of the earliest built in Western Europe:

Beautiful, very Moorish with the minaret strongly resembling the Giralda in Seville.

Also, I'm pretty sure that mosque is featured in a French film about different peoples lives in Paris.

You muslims should get shame of your attitudes

You could put those stupid provoking photos in the photo or urban section but in that case, because noone cares about that, noone would see that, and so lets put in DLM and impose our beautifull mosques and our beautiful religion in European cofee

Europe should not tolerate this groing arrogancy and demanding atitude, at least in Europe.

I admire Schwetzinger Mosque. I wish we could see any gothic or neo classic mosques.

Adding Turkey into this list is not any interesting thing. But if you add Turkey, you shouldn't put Hagia Sophia and shouldn't exclude Selimiye of Edirne.

Is there something in the kuran telling how should mosques be built? Almost all of them look like they've been built using the same style, couldn't it be possible to build a mosque integrated in the urban environment where it is built? (e.g. if buildings in the neighbourhood are of neoclassical style, then build a neoclassic mosque without these typical moorish doors etc.)
