That's what mosques should look like (Cologne Cathedral will probably look like this in 50 years time):

Most modern mosques in Germany are horrible. They look like cheap copies of Ottoman mosques. Yuck.
Same here, we call them Home Sickness Mosques.

Aren't they gonna build a brick mosque in Amsterdam or Rotterdam?

A religious interjection:

The lack of good architecture when it comes to mosques is just a global trend for all buildings. Bad taste prevails everywhere.

At least the old building was preserved as one of the very few remains of French Gothic architecture outside France.

Bajrakli džamija in Belgade, small and unimportant. It didn't save it from being burned and desecrated.

Bayrakli mosque is actually quite old, it dates back to the 17th century. I didn't know they destroyed it though.

They just gave it a little fire. After that Jusufspahić cried for months on TV, so Serbian government rebuilt it.

I heard about that one when I was in Marseilles. There was a lot of talk about whether it should have been used as a mosque since pigs were slaughtered there.
