Comprising more than 3,120,000 sq ft (290,000 sq m) in total, the development consists of offices, hotels, retail and serviced apartments, to be held primarily for long term investment.

And an update (Aug 3),

image hosted on flickr

News from HKR Intl;

Resettlement work of the Dazhongli Project in Shanghai is progressing satisfactorily. As at 30 September 2007, about 80% of the total units in phase 1 of the Dazhongli Project have signed up agreements and/or moved out from the site. Resettlement permit for phase 2 has been obtained and preparatory works are underway. The Group has a 50% interest in the Dazhongli Project.

In Mainland China, the property development project in Dazhongli of the Jingan district, Shanghai (the "Dazhongli Project") was progressing smoothly. The resettlement work commenced in August 2006 and the resettlement progress has been satisfactory. The Group established a strategic partnership with Swire Properties Limited by disposal of the 50 per cent interest of the Dazhongli Project in December 2006. This strategic partnership will bring substantial synergies to the project and enhance the property and investment value of this landmark development in Shanghai.

- Resettlement works of the Dazhongli project in Jingan, Shanghai, continued to progress smoothly. As of March 2008, over 90% of Phase 1 resettlement works had been completed. Phase 2 resettlement permit has been obtained and preparatory works are generally completed. It is expected that Phase 2 resettlement would commence in June 2008 and the whole project is scheduled for completion in 2012. The Group has a 50% interest in the Dazhongli Project.

TohrAlkmista,

This is not in Pudong, but in Jing'An District. It is currently the most booming area in Shanghai.

Location.

They've constructed a workers' dormitory, but as you can see, most of the plot is filled with grass;

Any renders on-site? I thought they were going to move the old school, but it still stands there.

No renders

So far I didn't see any renders on the site. As soon as they put some, I will make some photos.

Yes, I heard too that they want to move the school, until now nothing happened.

With all the lowrises mixed with highrises, Shanghai reminds me more of Frankfurt.

Just that Shanghai's highrise area is about 200 times more widespread and dense than Franksfurt's dito.

The Puxi area looks like many other Asian skylines with skyscrapers built everywhere. All the buildings still look quite new though
