Another Angolan Rock band called Black Soul

and this is another Angolan rock band called "Black Angels"...it originates in Benguela

Biografica da Banda : Black Angels

Surgidos nos primórdios do ano 2010, os primos Tico, Bruno e Angélica decidiram montar uma banda.

Para tal, juntaram forças com Mindo, Sidney e Pagya (ex-membros da extinta banda Evocation).

Como qualquer outra banda de Rock em Angola, estes deparavam-se com dificuldades em adquirir instrumentos localmente, mas isso não foi suficiente para deitar abaixo os tão motivados jovens que aos poucos foram adquirindo material e até mesmo um local próprio para ensaiar. Após a saída de Sidney e Bruno, a banda sofreu uma grande reestruturação recrutando os músicos Nick Costa na guitarra e Amílcar para o baixo.

Assim a formação ficou composta da seguinte maneira:

Mindo - Vocais
Angélica - Vocais
Amílcar - Baixo
Tico - Bateria
Nick - Guitarra
Pagya - Guitarra

Após meses de ensaio constante a banda decidiu fazer a sua primeira apresentação.
Foi justamente 1 de Maio de 2010 o dia escolhido para a abertura da temporada Rock Benguela 2010.
Dor Fantasma abriram o concerto para depois dar lugar a tão esperada banda Black Angels que fizeram uma performance de tirar o chapéu mostrando toda a sua garra em palco.

Black Angels é a mais nova banda surgida nos últimos meses na cidade de Benguela e já pretendem fazer história na Arena do Rock Nacional.

Skytrax, I said the music is nothing for the faint-hearted.

Simply hard rock with a tinge of death metal.....Nevertheless I think Angolan hard rock band called Neblina is the best out there, in my eyes. It is really well done! Check them out

I should add that Neblina defines itself as alternative metal!!

Apart from those shown they are dozens of other smaller kind of garage bands like Instinto Primario...when I have more time I might put them here as well.

Although I am not a big fan of that kind of music, I appreaciate the musical variety existing in Angola.....which in my mind is quite unique in Africa (outside of R of SA) ..when it comes to Angolan music my favourite is still semba and kizomba (traditional music for the soul) and I also cherish Angolan electronic/house music (because I generally like house and all kinds of electro) spiced up with kuduru. I also like some of the older songs of the 1960s/70s as well.

Yep, at least one can understand what they sing, in the case of Neblina and their texts have a deeper meaning, too....and they all met in college in Angola.

Skytrax, You said that you like electronic music , too. What are your favourite ones? - Not just in Angola, I am keen on knowing. The video that you posted is great music

Is not really "electronic music".. In Angola we call "Afro House", is one of my favorite style.. I can't wait for my last exam so I can start going out again.
