Nice update pictures. Isn't there a larger render available, because I can't find any on the internet (and I need it for my website).

Is the crane gone? Are they no longer putting the pyramid crown on?

The crane has been gone for a while now so it appears that the crown has been dropped from the final plan.

Agree... I had recognized that, too. So what about the final height? If we subtract the pyramid from the given figure of 249m, Al Tayer Tower should be only around 225m tall.

Let's compare it with Dubai Tower (186m). On Emporis, this building is mentionned as topped out, but that's not true... the sticking out edges from the render are still missing on top, so let's give Dubai Tower actually 170m (btw. progress looks very slow on this one... maybe on hold?)... and a difference of 55 meters to the assumed 225m seems quite reasonable IMO.

And the German website Dubai Projekte has 225m both for total height and roof height of Al Tayer Tower, too.

Thanks for the revised height calculations Dan.
I'm not following you around the Forum; it appears we share the same interest in Al Tayer, Sulafa and Ahmed Khoory (and MAG218).
ETA.. despite the colour scheme on the render, I'm no fan of Latifa.
(How about Currency House? that's also overlooked. )

NOT following me, Zollern? .... I scent kinda conspiracy. Bet you're an extraterrestrial serving the CIA ordered to sell me a vacuum cleaner.

In fact, it's not that I prefer the second-rate towers of Dubai to the supertalls. But they're are also mighty skyscraper projects that help to evolve a fantastic skyline and deserve more contribution. Like yours, or Stephan23's, who just has introduced some missing towers to the main construction forums.

Yep, Currency House in DIFC is another tower to watch... ditto the unnamed tower (aka Adnan Saffarini) that rises high 4 plots from Al Tayer Tower.
