oh man that is a seriously ugly stadium on the tv! u'd think with all the money in LA the stadium would have gotten a good upgrade... i know its a listed building and i know it has been upgraded but it still doesnt meet the grade!

I think the L.A. Coliseum looks better without the track.

Yes

it is still a beautiful venue with a beautiful bowl, and the peristyle; classic.

Look at its resume..

2 Summer Olympics (only existing venue in the world)
1st Super Bowl
1959 World Series
....and many many more.

It does need renovations just like any old venue, but I wouldn't get rid of it for anything.

It was Carmageddon. People thought traffic would be miserable and didn't have plans to go anywhere all weekend. Last year when they played at the Rose Bowl the place was sold out.

There were about 45,000-50,000 folks.

With no permanent tenant, how do we classifly this stadium? Is it a bust? It is oversized and outdated for anything other than the olympics? Or is it a needed stadium that is/was lucky enoough to be at the right place at the right time?

The USC Trojans are a permanent tenant. they draw 80,000+ per game for 7 - 9 games a year.
