I donīt think that the differences are very big. Of course every region has some specialities but in general the cuisine in Flanders and Wallonia is simular.

Recently I heard someone saying that the Belgian cuisine has the quality of the French cuisine and the quantity of the German cuisine... canīt be bad!

That's a good combination. I already like things which stand out, for example waffles, chocolate, beers, frites.

In some strange way the city looks more exciting in the foggy pictures...
Brussels seems to have both street life, old beautful buildings and skyscrapers!

Brussels has many beautiful sites and i think has "little" green -parks e.t.c.-
Of course to my opinion capital of parks -green- is Paris

Brussels is actually one of the greenest capitals in Europe but unfortunatelly you donīt really notice it when you are in the centre. But when you take the metro or the tram you can visit some massive and real beatiful parcs.

Bois de la Cambre is one of the most famous parcs:

Euh... you're forgetting 60% of the population. Or isn't that 'Belgium' for you?

Great pics, in spite of the grey and rainy weather.
I'm very fond of Brussels myself, the only real 'big' city in the country.
Of course there are some run down neighbourhoods and sometimes that's the first foreigners see when they leave the international train station Gare Du Midi/South station.

Brussels has got 3 main stations: North, Central and South. All three are not beauties at all, but further renovations are on the way. We hope...

But there are also some great districts with hundreds of well kept 19th century (art nouveau) buildings, like Saint-Gilles, Schaerbeek and Elsene.
Unfortunetly there a bit out of the city-centre, so only a minority of tourist visits them.

Maybe that's the best kept secret of Brussels.
