Is it still true that Dongguan is one of those "ghosts cities" in China? Can normal people effort to live here?? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbDeS_mXMnM

That sounds unbelievable - 64.000.000 idle flats in china?

It looks eerily empty, if spotless clean...

Surprising to me since Dongguan has a large population of 8.2 million according to Wikipedia and it's sandwiched between even bigger cities of Guangzhou and Shenzhen. I wonder why Dongguan seems to be losing out.

I'm off topic but this building looks really nice.

Probably the road wasn't open to outside traffic yet. New district tends to seal off itself before all things "required" are finished.

Is TBA the name of a company or something? I'm sure it stands for something else, but of course it means "to be announced" in English, which seems appropriate to the fact that the city it's in looks quite empty.

I don't think that we are blocked by the Great Firewall of China. I am pretty sure Chinese Govt has nothing against the world seeing the development there, on contrary. But there are just too many projects.
