Balkan Tour

Let me present a small tour through western Balkans, starting and ending in Croatia. I concentrated on roads and motorways, but I'll also put some pictures of sights along the way in this beautiful region. I have around 1200 pictures and I have to choose the best and resize them, so the report will be in several parts, starting with Croatia. Please don't mind if some pictures are not totally horizontal, I didn't have time to rotate them, and it's difficult to take a perfect shot while moving in the car.

We start off in Croatia, near Zadar, with three pictures at the Marune service area at the Adriatic exit of the Sv. Rok tunnel.

Yeah, but it's not only along the Adriatic, so it can be called western Balkans... The maps are from Viamichelin...

We pass by the construction site of the highway that will connect port of Ploče with the A1.

Continuing along.

Construction site of the bridge Croatia-Croatia (Pelješac bridge).

Pelješac side:

And finally approaching the Croatian-B&H border at the place where Croatia is cut in two pieces for a few kilometers:

After around five minutes, we're back in Croatia:

The border crossing is a kilometer or two after the border.

On the way to Dubrovnik:

really beautiful scenery and pics. Well done!

I wish highways here had 130km/h speed limits but we have the biggest speed nazis in the world.
