TORONTO | M5V | 125m | 34 fl | Com

This is a 227 unit condo tower being built in Toronto's Entertainment District.

that is the worst attempt at re-creating one of those ladies' fashionable club belts. makes it look like some of condos are out of use.

They will have a good view to the dense part of that zone, but i'm not sure about the design...

I hate the red section. This looks exactly like a Cityplace building.

This is a well thought out tower and far more interesting than the usual cookie cutter glass towers going up elsewhere. I absolutely love the red bit and wish most of City Place took more cues from this tower. This building meets the street well and the proportion of the massing is fabulous.

The coloured glass is a nice touch. We need more bright colour in Toronto. Transparent and grey is not colour. Enough!

the podium looks promising, nice streetwall potential right there.

Yep, it's possibly the best feature of all. This stretch of King Street is certainly going to change in the next 3 years. Festival, 355 King, and M5V all within about 100 metres of each other.

Don't forget Charlie Condos, it'll be across the street and just a few metres down from M5V.

M5V is probably my favorite new condo in all of Toronto, if only I could afford it...

Looks good but would you want your condo to be right next to/below/above that massive, mid-tower air-intake/HVAC thing?

Is that what it is? It might be a common area, but if it's mechanical, they usually go to great lengths to ensure that it doesn't effect adjacent residents. Manulife has 2 floors of mechanical half way up the building, but I doubt the occupants just below or above it notice that it's there.

It looks a little old school to me. Not bad though, IMO.

Do you have some inside information that hasn't been made public yet?
