The podium looks quite handsome. Especially with those huge sheets of glass.

The tower is very good looking, but I don't exactly understand the base; are they preserving a historic facade?

Yes, it was a historic car dealership there for like 60 years or something.

I agree; it looks like it will be very bright and airy!

Has anyone heard a timetable on this?

Murano across the street is looking mighty fine as they rise.

I was wondering that too. This one promises to be one of the best towers on Bay Street. Bay Street really is the home of most of our best towers: Four Seasons, First Canadian Place, Commerce Court, U Condos, Royal Bank, and part of the TD complex.

This one can be moved to the Under Construction area, demolition of the older buildings that were here (car dealership) is complete, and crews are well underway with excavation...

Some more images of the model (personal favorite views) from MBA Models:

Great proportions

Unique podium

I especially like the nuanced departure from the typical Toronto square/rectangle floorplates of late

Bodies of 2 Mounties who died in the Haiti earthquake being escorted back to the Federal Morgue. This is also the route taken to bring back war dead from Afghanistan.

And what exactly does that have to do with the Burano Project?

Do you not see that giant construction site taking up the entire top half of the photo? Do I really need to label it a Burano construction site or can people put 2+2 together and get 4?

Well, you coul've been more informative. You are talking about Haiti. Besides that, somehow I was not able to see the picture posted with the article the last time I read this thread..

I think the height is 163m / 50 fl. According to the thread in the Toronto section.
