nice photos Jesus.
I've been aiming to spend a week in the city
and I just plan to buy a return ticket.
is finding a hotel which is not too expensive and close to the beach
is less of a hassle?

I have three suggestions this motels are in front of the Pacific Ocean, this three motels are not expensive they are not three or four stars, but they are real nice. Their names are Siesta, Aquamarine and Sands, they were the cream of the cream in the 1960's and 70's, but now they are probably one or two stars.

They have their restaurants and are not to far of the Golden Zone in the new part of the city, and they are also very close to the old town of the port. The Siesta Hotel is in Paseo Olas Altas which is a walking distance of the old part of the city.

Thanks Jesus. I listed these 3 hotels but I think Siesta would be the best choice as it's closer to the old town which looks really interesting. I like those
colonial buildings and the church, and there are several restaurants too.
Truly, a nice place to discover.

it is a really interesting city to visit, I was born there but I moved to the United Stats as a child. Half hour drive in a town named Concordia I built a retirement home, I go there between two and three times a year. There are some real good restaurants both in Olas Altas and he Old Town. If you ever visit Mazatlán you must try the lobster, scallops and the shrimp they are among the best in the world, you find them in many American stores ind the good USA. As a matter of fact there is a large Canadian population living in retirement in the city, there is a bar named Canucks near the Siesta Hotel.
