cool..but still in a place where this isn't millions of trees and industry it's still pretty cool. Here in New Jersey, I can see the tops of the buildings of New York even those it's a woody area, about 30 miles too.

Tulsa has 2 200m buildings, and probably wins pre Devon tower. Question is, who wins now ?

I love the ridge in the background. A 700 foot condo would have some great balcony views!

When they build an actual new skyscraper in Tulsa, then Tulsans can discusss it there, not in a OKC thread.

Hey, it was an OKCer who brought up Tulsa and had to start the childish comparing game.

The williams tower is 667 feet, maybe they would let you sleep on the top floor

Not to derail this thread but what's that area in the center left of the picture? It looks like a massive coal mine in the forest (or some construction near the highway. Casino construction?). It ruins the whole picture in my opinion. The deforestation around Tulsa is really starting to tick me off.

And to bring back the discussion, I actually love the Devon Tower. I obviously have a different opinion on Oklahoma City but this tower itself is nothing less than world class.

I agree.

Huh ? They haven't torn down that many trees. We have the name green country for a reason. Also the thing you mentioned in the picture could be anything, I have no idea.

That looks like the expansion of Gilcrease Expressway. It's going to loop around northwest Tulsa and come around to the southwest and connect at the I-44/I-244 interchange.

Ah, thanks. I've actually never been up that way so that explains why lol. At least it's not a casino and hopefully it'll blend in.

Anyyywaaay, back to the Devon Tower....

recent media pics from Pete:

You can see Vast Restaurant starting to take shape at the bottom of the "V"; the highest brightly lit (ie. finished) floor is #44.

This thing is only going to get more mind-blowing as more floors are finished out, occupancy increases and the no-doubt state of the art lighting system is fully implemented.
