that's hardly the least patronizing remark from the same poster, but i guess it's the one that the most number of people are offended by ironically.
lol shows how much I care. I really took no offense to any of it, seriously. I must have missed something I guess. Don't mind us "northerners", we are loud, rude, and bad drivers I guess, or at least that's how people in Kentucky view us.

Just growing up in Fort Worth, I can get what you Oklahomans feel with everyone lumping you up with us and every other Sunbelt state. Just like I HATE (and I mean I ******* HATE) when people lump my city up with Dallas. I get that.

My comments about this building is fairly uncritical. Hell, I actually LIKE the building. But just seeing it in OKC is just weird.

I prefer Ft Worth over Dallas any day of the week as far as livability goes.
They still say the same thing about the Eiffel Tower in Paris--and have since the 1800's.
But--it's still pretty popular.
Or the Chrysler Building when it went up.
You have to build one big one first.
It portends things to come.

It's just bizarre how this skyscraper has touched off the same people who probably formerly characterized OKC's skyline as underwhelming.

OKC has a lot going for it - with the boathouse district in full swing, being the headquarters of USA Kayak and Canoe, supplying rowers to the olympic team this year, the surface has just been scratched along the river. A new white water rapids facility is being developed at this time on boathouse row. With the new relocation of I-40, the entire downtown area will develop South towards the river. In the next 5 years, there will be multi billions of dollars invested in the central business district. There are a lot of regional cities that do not campare in quality or momentum.

There has already been multi-billions of dollars (public and private) invested, more to come.

Another reason why Devon chose to stay in OKC.

A lot of good stuff are going on in there, and this tower is rocking the sky of OKC. I just love it.

Devon Tower Dining

On the top floor Devon Tower has a potential 5 star dining option in Oklahoma City....

The oil and gas company serves up a towerful of options

You needn’t depend on a commercial airliner to give you a meal as you fly over Oklahoma City; very soon you’ll have the chance to dine in comfort nearly 50 stories above the streets of downtown. According to Larry Nichols, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Devon Energy “…people will have completed their move into the tower by July 2012!” And “…restaurant space will be on the top two floors.”

Does Oklahoma have any 5 star restaurants? Would this be a first for not only OKC, but all of Oklahoma?

It's a nice building but it's way out of place. It would have looked better in a more established skyline.

I disagree. To me, Fountain Place in Dallas looks better than this building.

Can we get some night pics posted?

And, for the record, this tower is so sleek, it would have looked great anywhere.

That's what they said about Southland Life, Republic Bank and First National way back when---
