Should have updated the thread title to 900 instead of 850. I don't like 850.

Here is an image from OKCTalk's webcam from this afternoon, the garage construction looks like it's going really fast. They are adding 5 floors, plus adding retail space and expanding one side of the garage horizontally.

Wow, the garage is going quickly, as are the pilings. This one should be off the ground in no time.

You meant to say 4 floors a month, right? The construction guys would be falling to their death from exhaustion with that kind of pace.

I was told 4 a week, but it's possible the word month got replaced with week.

This information was directly from the project managers but I heard it second hand.

I think that 4 floor per week figure was also given in a newspaper article possibly... But I didn't recall reading that the 4 floor per week pace would start January 1. I was thinking the base and podium work would come during the first quarter and then after the first 10 floors or so it would shoot up, with the superstructure completed by fall 2010. Fall 2010 was a published date in a newspaper article for topping out.

Here's an article from Oct 9. If their scheduling 3 years to build this, I think it's much more likely it'll be a floor a week. Top out is likely late 2011, finish the curtain wall mid 2012, interiors finished late 2012, open early 2013.

Houston-based developer Hines is managing the project. Jon Pickard, a co-founder of Pickard Chilton — the project’s lead architect - said the building will take about three years to construct, which would mean Devon employees likely could begin moving in by early 2013.

Really, that's all you wanted to say about this tower?

OKC is a sprawl city that destroyed itself during urban renewal and is now trying to change its ways. The "sprawl" - really just industrial wasteland, not even as nice as sprawl - that you see in those pictures is going to be replaced with 1,000 acres of mid- and high-rise mixed use buildings over the next 20 years.

This is new information from the project managers that I see on a daily basis, not a news article from several months ago.
