Yeah The skydance bridge will kinda look like that, but will only be a pedestrian bridge and will not carry any auto or rail traffic! and OKC's bridge will be much smaller!but still nice!

Here's some information regarding the skydance bridge.
From okc.gov: The 18-story structure, inspired by the skydance of the scissor-tailed flycatcher, is 30 feet wide, 440 feet long and will span the semi-depressed section of the new 10-lane Interstate 40 Highway and the BN&SF Railroad on the south edge of downtown Oklahoma City. Textures and color delineate the paths of north-south traffic. Two skyward reaching wings frame paths for travelers driving I-40. The taller wing reaches 185’ above the road surface and a 66-inch high ornamental metal railing spans the length of bridge. By day, its cascading surface of stainless steel panels will shimmer in the sun. At night, the structure takes flight as its city-side surfaces emit a glow skyward. Traditional up lighting will show off the bridge at night and a translucent material on the face of the bridge’s sculpture wings will cause them to glow from within. Low glare exterior deck lighting dots the path across the bridge.

I'm almost positive these retaining walls mean the beginning of concrete pours on the foundation will begin soon- and I have seen that concrete trucks have been arriving in recent photos of the site. Don't know how long exactly the foundation pouring will take.

Construction continues on Devon Energy building
BY STEVE LACKMEYER The Oklahoman February 24, 2010 A 28-story construction crane now looms over the downtown skyline as construction continues on the future Devon Energy Corp. headquarters. The crane, which went up over the weekend, is designed to grow with the building structure and will ultimately reach 947 feet high, said Gavin Kalley, project director with Holder-Flintco. "This thing will grow,” Kalley said. "We will jump it five times. The initial crane height is 250 feet … in the end it will be 950 feet tall with the hook, and add the ball and it’s 1,000 feet.” ![]() the rest of the article is located below, http://newsok.com/construction-conti...ad_story_title |
