Uhhhh no....I NEVER think of musicals, the wife always does that, personally I hate 'em like most guys do. I think of oil, wildcatters and some of the best camping around this region. Musicals huh? Better be careful telling anyone that...might make them think too much...

That's some nice rebar there! I'm really impressed by the speed this has got from approval to construction I'm pretty proud of Olkahoma, such a lovely city... probably one of the nicest i've visited in since I came to the US, from England.

Foundation pour is set to occur this weekend, depending on weather. It was 70 today and an unexpected blizzard seems to be coming in for Saturday. But if all goes according to plan, a 15-hour concrete pour will occur on Sunday. 26 million pounds of concrete, hauled in by 65 trucks from five different cement plants.

Rebar that has been set up over the last few weeks:

I think the snow has been out of OKC for a while. I saw a comment on Newsok.com that someone said they saw the crews out at 5 am this morning.

This story has some more info. on the pour and I think possibly a link to a webcam to watch the pour. The pour is supposed to take 45 cement trucks 15 hours to pour the base. Pour, pour, pour. Geeze I said that word too many times in those two sentences.

Cool that they were able to pour today. We still have snow on the ground out here in the DFW area.

Amazing! This thing is going lightning fast! With a building as nice as this, I hope for some really spectacular cladding.

Wow. I'd settle for a few stories high by August. If it's more than 10 I'll really be amazed.

They've been reporting that the structure will be topped out by the end of the year (like maybe November), with 4-5 days per floor. Not sure how long before that kind of vertical speed will begin.

As they have already shown throughout the construction of the site, they mean business. In the last 6 months they have cleared a 2-level parking deck from the site, set up a solid foundation, and nearly completed a 5-story addition to the top of the parking garage and a 10-story expansion to the side of the parking garage. It's truly amazing. Soon there will be even more workers and they will begin 24/7 construction. It'll move fast.

Not to mention the whole site was dug about 20 feet below street level.

Here are some pictures, courtesy of DelCamino of OKCtalk.
