A 259 meter building in a city with a metro population of only 1.2 million? For a city the size of Jacksonville, Florida, that's pretty impressive.

Edit: Over 100 meters taller than the current tallest in the city? This is really going to stick out like a sore thumb.

I'm way past the "stick out like a sore thumb" observation... With a building this beautiful, I'm glad it'll stick out.

True, but that is a crazy growth global city. It's unique now to see a building in an American city that sticks out like this.

I can see the Devon HQ tower doing for OKC, what the IDS Tower did for Minneapolis.

^ those pics are fantastic illustrations of progress. the final product is an amazing skyline. OKC has to start somewhere and here it is. I can only dream of a project like this being undertaken in my city also of 1.2 million metro.

Dang they sure didn't waste any time getting those cranes up...I better plan a trip up that way soon or I'll miss the construction!

Devon Tower Cement Pour - Need Photo

I am writing a newsletter for one of the many cement companies involved in the recent pour for Devon Tower. I would like to purchase/gain permission to use one of the photos below in this thread. If there are any amateur photographers out there who would like to get a credit, respond on this thread and we will connect.

It's going so fast, this is definitely a bright spot during the economic recession. Great tower.

Its kinda odd but this building is shorter than 4wtc and look how hard it will be for 4wtc to even stick out

OKC has 16 buildings over 200 ft tall, and has only 4 over 400 ft tall, and 1 at exactly 500 ft! so, yea The Devon tower at 850ft tall will stick out!lol
