This complex will be an awesone addition to Oklahoma City. For a city this size is a remarkable investment.

Not to mention also that The Taxes from this building are being put in a TIF and all Downtown streets and The Myriad Gardens will be overhauled,so in all this project is closing in on almost a Billion dollars!I cant wait to see what The Real impact will be,The trickle down effect!

Just got back into town from vacation for a while, and the tower is about where it was. I suppose later this summer is when people who leave town for a week will be surprised by the progress.

You can still get to the webcam, I wouldn't recommend it though.

Found it. I guess they changed the link I had bookmarked. I read they've cleared the virus and upgraded their security.

Right! Some ******* attached a Malware virus to the, (About.com) webcam link. Good thing my anti-virus defense alerted me! Anyway.... I, immediately, contacted the writer of a late October article about it. Kudos to him and his staff for, promptly, addressing it.

It, SO, pisses me off that the perpetrators have nothing better to do than to create such harmful afflictions. They should be caught, flogged, and forced to watch .... " The View " !

With the economy recovering, is THIS project generating " spinoff " development(s) within the CBD?

Looking wonderful. And as far as I know beware, nothing of significance. The crystal cylinder across the street as seen in one of the pictures is being completely renovated along with the entire park that goes with it. It's the Myriad Botanical Gardens.

kinda a spinoff but not really,Sandridge Energy in Downtown OKC will spend 100 Million$ to build a couple of midrises and a couple green plazas,The buildings will have rooftop pools, putting greens, and green spaces!but in this process they will demo a few historic gems-one of wich is The oldest downtown structure, there is alot of debating, appeals, and hearings on this as this project while nice, will be destroying density and historical buildings!

Project 180 is a three year, $140 million redesign of downtown streets, sidewalks, parks and plazas to improve appearance and make the central core more pedestrian friendly. It begins in August and is mainly paid for from the Tax Increment Financing (TIF) from construction of the Devon Tower.

MAPS 3 was also passed last year which is a $777 million project and will include
-A new, approximately 70-acre central park linking the core of downtown with the Oklahoma River. The park would include a restaurant, lake, amphitheater, dog park, skating rink and other amenities. ($130 million)
-A new rail-based streetcar system of 5 to 6 miles downtown, a downtown transit hub to link streetcar, commuter rail and bus systems, and possibly increased funding for the building of commuter rail lines. ($130 million)
-A new downtown convention center on the south edge of downtown near the proposed park. ($280 million)
-Sidewalks to be placed on major streets and near facilities used by the public throughout the city. ($10 million)
-57 miles of new public bicycling and walking trails throughout the City. ($40 million)
-Improvements to the Oklahoma River, including a public whitewater kayaking facility and upgrades intended to achieve the finest rowing racecourse in the world. ($60 million)
-State-of-the-art health and wellness aquatic centers throughout the city designed for senior citizens. ($50 million)
-Improvements to the State Fair Park public buildings, meeting halls and exhibit spaces. ($60 million)
-Contingency funds to cover unforeseen costs ($17 million)
