Thanks Spectre.

Hot Rod, no hard feelings from both sides I hope. We all know how those arguments go, no need to further elaborate.

Any guesses at how tall the structure is now? I'm going to go with 282'.

I didn't take your post wrong. I didn't see you coming off as hostile or argumentative in any way and I know I didn't come off that way. I just wondered why in your opinion government jobs weren't as desirable. No need to make a wide generalization of OKCers based off one person's post. I, like you, don't really care for the rivalry between the two either.

I like it a lot, I mean it's no OU or OSU but they invest in the undergrads so much more and it's a nice campus. They have the best Graphic Design Department in the state and that's why I'm here. I know me and you are the same age and graduated the same year. Are you attending a college yet?

And great pics Spectre! I love how crowded this site will be with all the buildings. The tower itself, the rotunda, the Garden Wing, the Auditorium, and that structure due north of the tower. Very dense, very urban for such a small area.

As for the government sector, I meant that it's nothing too special. Many cities and every capital city has it so it's not like it's something extremely unique. That's all I was meaning, of course Tulsa doesn't have anywhere near the public sector influence like OKC, I admit that.

I'm attending Tulsa Community College right now. They offer a program that entails free tuition for Tulsa County Grads, etc. so I decided to take that up. I plan on going to UCO though after next year. As of right now anyway.

Yeah. They offer that here too. If you're a graduate of OKCPS, you get to go to Oklahoma City Community College for two years free as well. If you're from Del or Midwest City, I think you get two free years at Rose State Community College. It's a good deal, and if you play your cards right with FASFA, you can actually end up with a hefty surplus in your pocket when you get your refund.

For sure. I was about to ask if OKC offered the same type of program as well, thanks for answering.

About 2 miles away, from Pennsylvania Avenue bridge over the I-40 construction project:

And a close-up. Working on the 20th floor now.

Lookin good so far. Why did they not build this in the middle of downtown though. It looks like it is on the periphery of downtown. In Shane's first pic in his above post there looks like a perfect gap where they could have built it where it would have looked perfect. Was it parking or is that area occupied by some smaller highrise or something?

The only place where this will look out of place is from The SouthEast part of The city!it looks really seperated from the rest of dt from that vantage point!
