Courtesy of Doug Loudenback of OKCtalk.

Looking south from Park Avenue.

First National Tower's reflection in the new cladding.

From inside the under-construction Myriad Gardens. The cladding is beautiful!

No they're not. I'm actually surprised to see this rising as quickly as it is.

So far this has been a mild winter so that only helps with the speed.

EVERYONE, please be patient with the pace of construction! It's far more important that Devon Tower be completed safely than quickly. New skyscrapers, due to technological advances and changes, rise much faster than those of previous eras. Still, even this era's construction and related-materials has limitations. So, let's be prudent!

" Rush jobs " , especially on construction sites, often lead to eventual disasters. And, a collapse of a structure on this scale would be horrific. WE want this iconic tower to be completed and last for generations, whether or not we're an OKC resident. Devon Tower will be completed, soon enough.

Seriously, the construction pace has been great on this one. Except for two accidents, a crane flipping and a pillar collapse, things have gone pretty respectably.

You're Right! And, BTW, I wasn't trying to ' borrow trouble ' or pick a fight by raising the safety issue. I've, just, witnessed too many terrible construction accidents in my lifetime occur where the pace was rushed, mistakes were compounded, and safety violations created tragedies on various projects (ex: NYC, Chicago, Etc.). But, with that being said, I'll let it go. Peace!

They should at least make it transition very, very slowly from one color to the next. That would have the best effect imo.

It must be the same height as Oklahoma Tower, and it's 434 feet. It's a little over halfway.
