Really? I was in Bartlesville just after New Years Eve. Conoco is hiring lots of young people that are moving to town, the downtown is being filled with a few new places to eat/drink. Just about every building in DT Bville that was unoccupied was being renovated in some way, with several being turned into mixed use residential/commercial buildings. There are some high quality museums and attractions for a town of that size as well. I really thought the city had a unique vibe that didn't seem like a downer at all.

By quality museums you mean the Phillips 66 one? Snooze. There is nothing. The Price Arts Tower is nice but unless you want to shell out big money eating there isn't much else to do. Other than you have Woolaroc but it's a county away. I went for a Speech competition. The area around the High School is nice and upper class but other than that, the city is pretty depressing.

To each his own I guess.. There aren't a lot of small towns that are thriving like that and gaining college graduates in the same way. You can get a student price for a 1-hour tour of Price Tower at $5. Woolaroc was great. I liked the P66 museum, the company has a rich history as one of the original "Googles" to pamper employees with services. I think Bville is kind of what Tulsa would have been if it hadn't had more companies and more people... All the grandeur of the oil history is pretty cool for a town like that.

Cool town

I can't believe i'm contributing to this but two days of no posts makes me think that the OKC forumers have gotten lazy. I just got the image off the webcam but whatever

Just for pure clarification, and you may already know this adam, but the name is Oklahoma City and should not be interpreted as Oklahoma's City. I realize that sometimes foreigners see it possessively when actually, 'City' is part of the name.

This thing is getting tall. I like how the height is slimming the tower down aesthetically.

What did he do, for you to attack him like that.
All he was Oklahoma.

And Arrho right nobody gets mad when people call New York City, New York.
And they do it all the time.

well, NYC's name is New York. OKC's name is Oklahoma City. City is part of OKC's name, but City is not part of NYC's name (even though most people put it there).

Nevermind though, OKC does represent Oklahoma; it is the largest city and capital - so if people call the city Oklahoma, so be it.

That's true. The official name is New York not New York City.
