Guess we will be passing Chase Tower in the next week or so, and the building is now scheduled for completion about half a year earlier than expected in late 2012, as reported by the Journal Record.

Devon Tower Construction Nears Milestone
By Brianna Bailey

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Devon Energy world headquarters tower will officially be the tallest building in the city when workers pour the foundation for the 33rd floor in the next few weeks.

...

The building gains about one story every five days. Columns of reinforced steel on the structure stretch up to the 32nd floor this week and workers have just laid the foundation for the 31st floor.

An average of 900 workers are employed at the $750 million construction site each day.
Construction on the tower was briefly held up by the recent snowstorms, but weather over the past several months has been mostly fair and work on the tower is still running a little ahead of schedule, Wood said.

Wood said construction will be completed sometime during the third quarter of 2012. Devon will begin moving employees into the new building during the first quarter of 2012, while interior construction of the building is still ongoing, said Devon spokeswoman Alesha Leemaster.

“As completed floors are released to us we’ll fill those until the building is full, but it will take six to nine months,” Leemaster said.

I was asked to post that image from another forum. Don't know why. They wanted those particular buildings.

This tower is already on my favorites-a rainbow LED display and this bisexual Oklahoman would just about lose it

Devon Energy in 1700 currently has employees spread over 5 different buildings in the city. The 3000 staff to strengthen them, which they hope to soon after 2012, or up to allow for growth. They will be the sole tenant. This is a 10 story garage, meeting space, a six-story glass has it all, add first floor retail rotunda, and includes an outside park. Rotunda to "Harvey axis", a line for a massive redevelopment of blighted area being a focal point as used in the south of the city is built right on down. The OKC National Memorial on the south end Devon headquarters, numerous botanical garden, a new iconic Central Park, and will connect to the Oklahoma River.

Yea, I remember the earlier posts of the multi color led testing but I haven't seen any since so I was surprised to see that many panels being tested. It looks awesome.
Lots of existing buildings are installing LED scemes it seems. Here in Columbus AEP tower has an LED light show on top of the building, I was in Tulsa this past weekend and ONEOK has lined their roofline with LEDs in blue with a white "bleep" that chases around the top of the building.

Sorry if I don't remember but will Devons crown be lit up?

There's two images I posted on "the other forum". One is from Skyscraper page, and the other one was yours with the added buildings that were asked to be compared. Why don't you just add those buildings to yours the way you do it? It would look a lot better. What to you mean "claim to me mine"? That's the whole reason I made my own from Skyscraperpage and posted it, and not yours with the added buildings. I obviously didn't post it here because you didn't post your original here. When you say things like that, you make it look like I said, "Hey guys, check out this original image I did." Why do you get so uptight about it? I don't come to these forums to argue, and honestly don't have a lot of patience for it. My name is Will by the way.
