The Renaissance Tower is only tall because it has a huge antenna on the top of the building. Without the antenna the building is 710 ft.

Hopefully this will initiate the skyscraper boom in OKC that people were talking about earlier!

Well, it's 27 photos. Didn't want to flood this forum with them. They're at OKCTalk which I'm sure everyone is familiar with.

This building sooooooo beautiful. We need the AT&T HQ in Dallas to build a new skyscraper LOL (the current one looks kinda dated)

Devon tower set to top off next month

Construction is on schedule and within budget on the $750 million Devon Energy Center. The tower will be topped off next month.

BY STEVE LACKMEYER [email protected]
Published: August 13, 2011

A steel beam is resting atop the Devon Energy Center garage awaiting the moment when the new 50-story tower is topped out with names of the company's employees.

The tower has already reached its 50th floor, though two more levels that will contain the building's mechanical systems are still under construction. John Woods, project coordinator with the building's developer, Hines, sees the steel signing as just another slight twist on a tradition in which the last beam was signed only by construction workers.
