Updates after 6 months







Compared to pics posted earlier, volume of work has increased. Several pits have been dug filled with water and labourers are busy making iron grids.
Asked an on site labour & here's what he had to say -
'barshar pore bhit kora shuru hobe. 60 tala building hobe ekhane, bhit kortei 15-18 maash lagbe (as it is a very tall tower), puro shesh hote 4 saal lagbe.

So expecting it by 2016. BTW, this ia a project by a consortium comprising of Diamond Group, Mani Group & Sattva Group (Bangalore).

baaahhhh....work seemed to picked up pace...so its still on....

barshar por mane expected time after diwali....that means foundation work would be over only in mid 2014...hmmm...

Also a makeshift RMC plant has come up....

Great updates BDW, is it 54 or 60? any update on that? will it be around the same height as the Imperial Towers in Mumbai?

The labourer said 60 floors (little exaggeration in his layman idea), but I believe the builders will stick to the original plan of 54 floors, 250 mts, unless there is a change in their plan regd which we have no idea.

wow!! this is great.......... has been the LIC Tower project (50 floors) cancelled??

ALL IMPORTANT UPDATE !!!

"THE 42" -This is the name of the Project, as per its address at 42B Jawaharlal Nehru Road. And it is a 55 storied tower.
The architect of the project is Hafeez Contractor.
This is not a sole Diamond Group Project; In fact, it is more of a Mani Group - Sattva Group project, as they are the controlling stakeholders in it.


BES Consultants reports that this project is a luxury residential one.

ITD CEMENTATION INDIA LTD also reports this as a residential highrise.

Both the above companies are currently involved in the construction of the project in some ways. Several realty portals like Envision Realty also refer to this as a residential development.

OTOH, Economic Times & MAGICBRICKS refer to this as a commercial development.

Dunno, which one is final but whichever it is I'm happy . The following renders have been arranged according to their probability of taking shape. Design I has the maximum chances, Design V has the least.

Isnt this tower slated to have a helipad??..however none of them seems to be having one...expected something much chic from Hafeez Contracter..
Btw, of these i would go for Design 3
