IMO the original design looked way better, but then that was designed for a commercial building, and this is a residential one.

Great info Samrat, thanks for digging this up.

Thanx for the update samrat . This is going to be the highest skyscraper in Kolkata. Designs 3 & 4 looks great.

Any idea whether piling work has started or not?

None of them appear brilliant. Moreover, will not fit in with the rest of the building. Strange choice.

All the designs in the new renders are of a commercial tower.
I would prefer this tower to remain a commercial one. Kolkata needs many more like this.
They should have stuck to the old design. I do not find the new ones impressive at all.

Just wait for this building to start taking shape, and u'll find how awesome it looks. Actual effect cannot be understood by renders.
The giant arch on top, which would be equivalent to about 3 floors high, will most probably be used as an observation deck, or a state of the art club (if the project is residential).

Is the source reliable? Although I am ecstatic with this news, but a little bit skeptic. Anyways, is there any update on the foundation work status? Is it started or they are still stacking the materials? Can't wait to see the construction take off..bcoz that's when we can actually be sure about its floor height.
