It is highly unlikely that 2010 and 2011 will not be enough time for all venues.
When does UEFA want these venues complete?

I'd say mid 2011 for the latest, is a realistic completion date with end 2011 just fine too!

Kiev should be fine, Lviv might be a worry.

UEFA made a mistake remaining 4 cities. If they would choose Kiev and Donetsk, twice a bigger amount of money could be used in their preparations and infrastructure construction. Choice of 4 cities can ruin all preparations. Instead of 2, which can be a very good host cities wthout problems.

Yea but still UEFA made there choice, it would be a disaster if there were 6 Polish cities and 2 Ukrainian, and Donetsk is not such a good choice with the infrastructure. I think this is fair for all of the Ukrainian cities and hopefully everything will be alright.

P.S- I don't understand why do people call it 'Kiev', its "Kyiv' in Ukrainian and English, they changed the name of this city ever since the USSR broke up.

In english is Kiev
Every dictionary translate to this so maybe Kyiv is only ukrainian way of writing it.

its preferred by the Ukrainian government and is the correct word. kiev was used during soviet times.
lviv will finish the stadium eventually. who knows if they will finish in time. in my opinion theyll have to speed up the construction once spring comes and really try to sort out all the problems. theres the idea of dnipropetrovsk regaining the right to host the matches. heres an article

I'm afraid to disappoint you, but I don't believe that the Ukrainian Government has anything to do with it.

I also prefer Lisboa to Lisbon, Lissabon, Lisbona, etc. But who cares?

Both Kiev and Kyiv are correct in English, but Kiev still stands as primary.

Most probably Dnipropetrovsk, where Dnipro Arena is already built.

Unless I'm missing something the name of the city hasn't changed in over 1000 years. Even during the Soviet era it was always either Kiev or Kyiv, depending on which language you use. Same applies for Lviv, which in Russian is pronounced Lvov, in Polish Lwow, and in German Lemberg. And if you really want to go back to Latin, then you can call it Leopolis. All are correct.

Last time I checked the English version is Kyiv-Lviv-Dnipropetrovsk-Odessa-Kharkiv-Donetsk. Before you try to correct someone make sure you know what you are talking about
