What a sad news today on french tv brodcast. The report made a focus about works for euro 2012.

- 1/3 of hotel rooms won't be ready for 2012
-main roads infrastructures won't be ready for june 2012
-airport works also won't be finished in time
-violences still currently a problem for uefa

All of this is from different polish, ukranians and uefa working on this euro.

Very sad when you think the stadiums are beautiful

SOME of the roads MAY be not ready. But there's still a big chance they will manage it as it's a very important matter of prestige for the prime minister.
Airport terminals will be ready. And hotel capacitities are already secured, so it's totally wrong.

In Poland the problem is only in some of the roads. Stadiums, airports, and hotels will be ready at time I'm 100 % sure.

Hotels are ready.

Airports will be ready - you can check Polish airports here :

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...1280941&page=3

Roads - some of the road may not be ready - more info about road construction in Poland here :

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...41854&page=310

Railways - here :

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...488214&page=14

Other sports infrastructure investments :

Investments in Warsaw :

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...459018&page=18

Public transport in Warsaw :

Wroclaw :

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...802696&page=10

Poznan :

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...=809162&page=3

Gdansk :

http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showth...=814016&page=9

All in all scale of infrastructure investments currently going on in Poland in by far the biggest in Europe - no doubt

BTW - Euro 2012 will be localized in relatively big cities will all the infrastructure needed and touristic hot spots (at least in Poland) - compare this situation with Euro 2008 for example and such tiny and pathetic towns like Klagenfurt - there was no road to the stadium, not enought places for fans - both hotels, pubs etc., stadium was tiny and it was a place that Poland played agains Germany... I couldn't imagine worse Euro then the one in Austria and Switzerland - no atmosphere on the streets, locals not interested at all in what was going on Come to Poland or Ukraine during Euro 2012 and you will see the difference

Well, you wouldn't have a single stadium in france if your country would have such a problems in the past, like Poland had, really. You can't expect from Poland (one of the biggest coountry in Europe, territoriality) that they'll became such an economic giant like Germany, and build a full road network in 3-4 years, it's just physically impossible and needs a few more years to do that and i'm pretty sure they'll became an econimic giant since Poland really have a huge potential. And as far as I can remember in Porto (Portugal 2004) didn't even have an airport, stadiums were finished just a few weeks before the event. A&S also barely finished their stadium on time. Btw, i'm really suprised that mods are tolerating such a troll like you

"One year to Euro 2012" show in Warsaw. Behind the bridge you can see National Stadium in Warsaw.

Those seats look like they would snap in no time. Seats and hinges look a little cheap.
