Lyon metro

New longitudinal seating on the lines A, B and D

New ATO system for the line B, the line will become driverless by 2013.

As I heard the line A will become driverless by 2017 and the line D is already driverless.

Has there been any news about urban transport developments in Guadeloupe, Martinique and Reunion?

I have a question about parking at a station in Marseille and taking the metro...what would be the best station to park at coming from Cassis (southeast of the city)? Are the parking lots free?

Bordeaux tram ridership are grossely overstated.
There were 60 million tram journey in 2010, the same year Paris had 108 million tram journey.
I don't get how they can have a higher daily ridership than Paris if there have 1.8 time less traffic.
Add to this fact that transfer are counted as two journeys in Bordeaux while Paris tram line are hardly connected, so there are very few transfer between tram.

very good They changed the ancient rolling stock in Rouen i notice.

Lille will upgrade the stock of cars to double their size on L1 in 2015.
1/the quays will be redone(size) on all the 18 stations of the line 1
2/The new manufacturer has been chosen ant now it's Alstom. the former cars was made by Siemens which replies by a justice action to cancel the Alstom' victory
3/The new cars will be "snake style"(without separation between cars like L14 Paris)+the double size in lenght than actual

What about the... funding???

OK, I'm teasing you, so take it easy! Anyway, I have to admit that all this doesn't look bad at all and I'd add..."better late than never" if you see what I mean...

Yes, the new tram Citadis 402 stock has a bigger capacity than the TSF.
It will help to cope better with the traffic.

Notice that the cost is 500 millions € (new cars + renovation of stations)
All will be ready for Euro 2016 then to enable europeans to go to a modern stadium with a modern metro

@minato: the 208 rolling stock will be used on the line 2.

And they start the refurbishment of tramway. I will try to take pics the next spring if it runs.

This is what I figured because the VAL 208 are still recent.
The oldest are from 1999.

They will withdraw the oldest VAL 206 trains of 1983 that run on line 2.
The old VAL 206 will be put out of the service by the same VAL 208 that replaced them on line 1.
The most recent VAL 206 (of the end 1980's early 1990's) will stay on line 2.

I hate those painted windows on the buses. You kinda can see something through them, but still its very uncomfortable for the eyes.

I understand if there's revenue involved, but the Biarritz bus windows are not even an ad.

Never mind about the reasons. It's just hurting the eyes.
