Teresina, the Capital of Brazilian Middle-North

Teresina is the Capital City of Piauí State, in the Brazilian Northeast, located in the transition of the semi-arid and the Amazonian regions. Founded in 1852 in the confluence of Poty and Parnaíba Rivers, it was the first planned Brazilian Capital City, replacing Oeiras. It has 800,000 inhabitants, being the seat of a Metropolitan Area with 1,100,000 people. My beloved hometown.
These photos were chosen from www.teresinapanoramica.com, my site with more than 400 images like these. So, making it clear, these photos are mine, not googled.

Piauí is the poorest state in Brazil...

but Teresina looks nice. Any other city worth of notice in the state?

"So, making it clear, these photos are mine, not googled"

That is very clear, but why have you posted these in Cityscapes and Skylines? Self taken pictures go in Urban Showcase. I will move this now.
Be aware, everyone, that we will move a thread for a person only once. It is expected that next time the threads be posted correctly. We hate to delete photos or threads as they represent a LOT of work. Thank you

First of all, thanks for such a warm welcome and for your input about my photos, very constructive.
Forgive me if I am mistaken, but although it is written that Cityscapes and Skylines are for "googled" images, it is not written that ONLY such images can be posted there, it only demands the author to be correctly identified. I would accept your criticism if it was for the duplicated post, but, this does not seem to be the point here. Thanks for moving the thread, but we expect courtesy and politeness from a moderator (especially for a newcomer like me); if you "haaaaaaaaate" so much what you're doing here, you'd better be fishing.

This comment makes me sad coming from a compatriot. Southern Italy is poorer than the Northern portion of the country and it is still beautiful. Bolivia is one of the poorest countries in South America and has stunning places to enjoy. So, what's the point about poverty here? Rio Grande do Sul is richer than Piauí but miserable when compared to California, so what? We can't have a nice city just because we are less rich (not poorer, we're all in a poor country) than RS?
As to the second part of your question, there are lots of nice places to see in Piauí. Historical sites like Oeiras and Amarante, a beautiful Delta at Parnaíba River (the only in open sea in the three Americas, only Nile and Mekong Rivers are similar) and archeological sites like Boqueirão da Pedra Furada, in São Raimundo Nonato, with the oldest evidences of the human presence in the American continent and regarded World Heritage by Unesco.

Thanks to all other comments, highly appreciated.
